Use the tracking link in your order confirmation or shipping email. If you need us to look up an order, email info@dreadfullhippie.com with your order number and the email used at checkout.
Processing time and shipping speed
DreadFullHippie sets are handmade to order. The current timeline is shown at checkout. The shipping policy currently says orders usually take 2 to 3 weeks to be made and shipped, with a minimum of 10 business days before post office dropoff.
We do not offer expedited processing or expedited shipping. USPS Priority estimates begin after your order is finished and dropped off.
Change my order or address
Email info@dreadfullhippie.com immediately with your order number, checkout email, and the exact change. We can only help if the order has not already moved too far into production or shipping.
Returns, exchanges, and cancellations
Because each set is handmade to order, DreadFullHippie does not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations. If you made a mistake on a new order, email info@dreadfullhippie.com as soon as possible with your order number.
Lost, stolen, or damaged package
If you added Route Package Protection, file a Route claim for damage, loss, or theft. Claims for packages marked delivered must be filed after 5 days and before 15 days from delivery. Presumed-lost claims must be filed after 7 days, or 20 days international, and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.

How many packs do I need?
For a full head, most customers use 9 to 12 packs. Ellie wears 12 packs for a fuller look. Partials are usually 4 to 8 packs. Peek-a-boos or accents are usually 1 to 3 packs. Each pack includes 5 dreads.
Length, style, thickness, and material
Standards are about 20 to 22 inches and range from pencil to sharpie thickness. Skinny/Dainty dreads are about 20 to 22 inches and range from phone cord to pencil thickness. Celtic Straight is about 21 to 24 inches and the ends can be brushed or heat styled.
The dreads are made from synthetic Kanekalon fiber. If a style or length is not listed on the site, assume it is not currently available and email before ordering.
Shade or color help
You do not need an exact match for the dreads to blend beautifully. Choose colors you love. If you want help choosing, book a free virtual consultation and bring photos in natural light.
Install, appointments, and consultations
Dreads are self-install friendly and are braided into your hair. Your hair should be at least 3 inches long. Use the Dreaducation videos and FAQ for install help.
For in-person installs or consultations, book through DreadFullHippie's booking page. For appointment changes or booking issues, email info@dreadfullhippie.com with your appointment details.
Care, washing, reuse, and fit
Wash your scalp and hair with shampoo while installed, skip conditioner while the dreads are in, and deep clean after removal. You can air dry or blow dry. Swimming is okay, but rinse or wash after salt water or chlorine.
The dreads are reusable when cared for. Your hair should be at least 3 inches long.
Availability and restock
If a color or style is sold out, use the product page restock or notification option when available. Restock timing depends on materials and production. If you need help finding a similar available color, use the shade consultation path or email us with the product you wanted.
International shipping and customs
International delivery can take 14 to 21 business days depending on customs. Once a package leaves the U.S., tracking can be delayed by the destination country's postal system. International customers are responsible for customs fees, import duties, and taxes.

Discounts, codes, payment plans, and gift cards
Active sale items are listed on the site when available. Payment plans are available at checkout with Sezzle and Shop Pay when eligible. Gift cards are available from the store menu.
If a current discount code is not working, email info@dreadfullhippie.com with the code, product, and a screenshot of the checkout error.
Wholesale, collab, or custom request
Wholesale, creator, collab, stylist, bulk, and custom requests should go through email so the details do not get lost. Email info@dreadfullhippie.com with who you are, the product or quantity you want, timing, and any relevant links.
Location, pickup, and contact
DreadFullHippie is based in Provo, Utah for appointments. Most orders are handled through the online store. For pickup, appointment, or location-specific questions, email info@dreadfullhippie.com with your order or appointment details.
