Shipping Policies
Thank you for supporting our handmade small business! Because each set of dreadlock extensions is handmade to order, our shipping process looks a little different than mass-produced products.
Please read below for timelines and important shipping details.
All DreadFullHippie dreadlock extensions are HANDMADE & MADE TO ORDER.
Current processing timeframe:
- Orders are currently taking 2–3 weeks to be made and shipped.
- There is a minimum of 10 business days before your order will be dropped off at the post office
(business days do not include weekends or holidays).

That is where we post real-time processing updates.
Free shipping is available for U.S. residents only with orders of 4 or more packs.
At this time, we do not offer expedited processing or expedited shipping.
If you select USPS Priority (1–3 day), please note:
- USPS Priority delivery times are estimates only
- arrival dates are not guaranteed
- shipping method chosen at checkout does not include processing time
Shipping speed begins after your order is completed and dropped off at the post office.
Orders do NOT ship 2–3 days after ordering.
Once your dreadlocks are fully handmade and ready:
- orders ship within approximately 2–3 business days
- (not including weekends or holidays)
Your processing time allows us to create, quality-check, package, and ship your order correctly.
We do not ship partial orders unless previously agreed upon directly with DreadFullHippie.
If a partial order is approved:
- separate shipping costs may be required
Once your package is in the hands of the shipping carrier, delivery is outside of our control.
During high order volume, shipments may occasionally be delayed by a few days.
If there is a significant delay, we will contact you by email.
Delivery delays can occur due to weather, carrier issues, or seasonal shipping congestion.
DreadFullHippie has partnered with Route, the leader in package protection and tracking solutions.
By selecting Route+ at checkout, your order is protected against:
- damage
- loss*
- theft
If your package arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, you can file a claim directly with Route for a:
✅ replacement OR ✅ full reimbursement
We highly recommend adding Route+ protection at checkout for peace of mind.
- Claims for packages marked “delivered” must be filed after 5 days and before 15 days from delivery.
- Claims for packages presumed lost (status is not “delivered”) must be filed:after 7 days (20 days international)and within 30 days from the last checkpoint.
International shipping timeframes may vary due to customs processing.
Estimated timeline:
- International delivery may take 14–21 business days depending on your country’s customs process.
Once the package leaves the U.S.:
- we can only track using the tracking number provided
- tracking updates may be delayed depending on your country’s postal system
You can begin checkout to view international shipping fees before completing your purchase.
International customers are responsible for any:
- customs fees
- import duties
- taxes
These fees are determined by your country’s laws, and we are unable to estimate or cover them.
DreadFullHippie is not responsible for customs charges and will not reimburse for taxes/fees paid upon receipt of your order.
Please research your country’s importing requirements before ordering.
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order.
If an incorrect address is entered at checkout:
- fulfillment is required to ship to the address provided by the buyer
- it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the person at the incorrect address to retrieve the package
If you notice an address error, email us immediately and we will do our best to update it if the package has not been dropped off yet.

Once your package is dropped off at the post office:
- responsibility transfers to the shipping carrier
- we are no longer responsible for carrier delays, mishandling, or delivery issues
We are not responsible for:
- stolen packages
- misplaced packages
- packages delivered to an incorrect address entered at checkout
To protect your order, we strongly recommend selecting Route Package Protection at checkout.
Returns & Refunds
Every set is handmade to order and created specifically for you, so here is exactly how our policy works:
- Exchanges: if your shade or pack count isn’t right, contact us within 24 hours of delivery to start an exchange and we’ll work with you to re-match and make it right.
- Used dreads: due to the nature of the product, dreads that have been used can’t be refunded or exchanged.
- Cancellations: the handmade process begins shortly after you order, so orders can’t be cancelled once production starts.

Over time, your dreadlocks may need maintenance depending on wear, lifestyle, and how often they’re installed. If that happens, we’ve got you covered:
✅ Included with your guarantee:
- Up to 2 FREE reseals
- You only pay shipping both ways
After 2 free reseals:
- Reseals are a flat $50 fee
- Plus shipping both ways
