Ellie started making and selling dreads more-so by accident. She had always wanted dreads, but her hair was too thin, always breaking and never grew past her shoulders. Her confidence was shattered. After weeks of creating a solution, she made her first set of dreadlocks that easily braided into her hair. She instantly felt the confidence she was missing, and everyone else noticed it too. Standing taller and brighter,
her friends asked her to make them some. Little by little she's grown what you see DreadFull Hippie to be today. Handcrafted in Utah, USA, each dreadlock is carefully handmade to order.

Why these are considered a protective hairstyle? While wearing these, your hair will be braided 6+ weeks at a time. Braids are easily the most efficient style to protect your hair. Look at every Renaissance painting, all the woman have long, thick hair. You'll also notice often it is braided! You'll wake up feeling like a goddess and will cut your get-ready time in half because your hair is already done for the day. You'll keep your hair protected by not applying toxic products or using heat. No need for that because your hair is already flawless.
What can you NOT do with these? I haven't figured that out yet... You can swim with them, workout with them, ride motorcycles, let your baby pull on them without ripping out your PP baby hairs you've been working so hard to grow, camp with them (and look like a woodland fairy the entire time), skydive with them, wash them reuse them forever etc. etc.

I love all of my dreads from Dreadfullhippie, but these ones just hit different! I used to bleach and dye my hair frequently and pink was one of my favorite colors. I started to get that itch to destroy my hair again, but chose wisely and got these beauties! They are so perfectly made, soft, easy to install and the confidence gain is unmatched. I bought 3 sets to wear as partials as I have always wanted dreads but could never convince myself to do it. Well let me say these things are awesome. I decided to make the leap as I broke my hand last year and had to cut my hair to manage the length better. Since then I have been trying to grow my hair; the cut left all the hair underneath shorter than on top which has made it hard to get it out of the way. These dreads have really helped with that and should (based off what I've read) help me with growth and protecting my hair. I picked the rose, sandy blonde melt, and the peach melt and they go so well together!
